Technical Support:
3TM International routinely provides consulting support to
its clients in the area of environmental science. Our capabilities
include environmental engineering, geology and hydrogeology,
ecology, land use, and human and ecological risk assessment
using scientists and engineers who are recognized authorities
in their respective fields, and who have demonstrated their
ability to assess complex problems in a systematic manner.
Project and Technical Management:
We assist clients in planning, organizing, and controlling
the technical tasks associated with litigation support. Technical
assessment without proper planning and management leads to
failure. Our specialists make sure that projects are properly
defined, budgets and schedules are established, and project
goals are realized to the satisfaction of the client. This
frequently includes the coordination of the efforts of other
technical experts assigned to the case.
Baseline Data Acquisition:
3TM International can acquire, evaluate, and summarize baseline
data necessary to support a litigation case or an acquisition/divestiture
of property. This data can include site-specific environmental
data, historical research reports from public domain databases,
title searches, aerial photographs, Sanborn maps, and other
information. Site reconnaissance is also used to document
site conditions and evidence of contamination. In some instances,
3TM International may be called upon to independently verify
regulatory database information.
Records Search and Regulatory File Review:
A thorough understanding of existing and historical site conditions
is critical to the case. As such, 3TM International provides
thorough searches of regulatory files and other public data
bases to gather background information on the nature and extent
of contamination, enforcement actions, and other historical
actions to support the case.
Collection of Multi-Media Environmental
Data:
3TM International can help establish Data Quality Objectives.
What data is absolutely essential in proving the case? What
data is non-essential, but helpful? How much data is required,
and with what accuracy and precision? 3TM International conducts
field data acquisition programs using a variety of proven,
state-of-the-art field techniques to collect high quality
environmental samples in surface soil, subsurface soil, sediment,
sludge, surface water, groundwater, indoor dust, and ambient
air. Field procedures are fully documented to support litigation
requirements. Upon collection of the samples, we provide interface
with the analytical testing laboratory to ensure defensible
testing and reporting of results.
